Moon Sight Announcement Ramadan 1446:
The new crescent was sighted tonight (30th Sha’bān/ 28th February) in Saudia Arabia, therefore Ramadān commences with the first Tarāwīh tonight and the first fast tomorrow, the Saturday, February 29th, 2025. The Toronto Hilal committee also confirmed it. Tarewe prayer starts Friday, February 28th, 2025.
Toronto Hilal Committee announcement:
“There were confirmed sightings of the hilal for the month of Ramadan and based on viewing on the eve of Friday 29th Shaban 1446/28th Feb. 2025. Therefore Shaban will be 29 days and the Hilal Committee declares Saturday 1st March. 2025 will be the 1st of Ramadan 1446”. https://www.hilalcommittee.ca/home#moon
